(PRT, 101, 2020)
D: Catarina Vasconcelos

A conversation with Catarina Vasconcelos about her debut film THE METAMORPHOSIS OF BIRDS.

SYNOPSIS
Beatriz and Henrique married on the day she turned 21. Henrique, a naval officer, spent many seasons at sea. On land, Beatriz, who learned everything from the verticality of plants, took care of the roots of their 6 children. The eldest son, Jacinto, is my father and dreamed of becoming a bird one day. One day, suddenly, Beatriz died. My mother didn't die suddenly, but she died when I was 17. On that day, my father and I met in the loss of his mother and our relationship ceased to be just that of father and daughter.
