SYNOPSIS
Five backpackers travel through the vast, exotic amusement park that is Asia to escape everyday life in Europe: Josh and Adam get caught up in the ecstasy of global beach parties. Svenja is stuck in a hotel room in Bangkok, phoning after her missed return flight. Meanwhile, Liam staggers through India with an expanded consciousness to distract himself from his problems at home, while Marion finds a way to fail herself in meditation. At the end of the trip, a new beginning awaits some of the backpackers - and a connecting flight for the others.

ABOUT
Sonja Heiss, born December 2, 1976, in Munich, Germany, is a noted film director, screenwriter, and author. She made her directorial debut with the short film CHRISTINA WITHOUT SURROUNDINGS in 2002. Her first feature film, HOTEL VERY WELCOME (2007), won the Max Ophüls Prize. Heiss's second feature, HEDI SCHNEIDER IS STUCK (2015), received international acclaim for its portrayal of mental illness. In 2017, she published her debut novel, “Rimini,” to positive reviews. Heiss is recognized for her insightful storytelling in both film and literature.
