A conversation with Bettina Blümner about her documentary debut film PRINZESSINNENBAD.
PRINZESSINNENBAD (DE, 2007, 93 min)
Klara, Mina and Tanutscha, who all grew up with their mothers in Berlin-Kreuzberg, are best friends. They have known each other since childhood and share common interests: parties, boys and the outdoor pool. They often meet at the Kreuzberg “Prinzenbad”, which gives the movie its name. Nevertheless, in a time of personal upheaval, they increasingly have to go their own way. Klara is doing her training and has to do community service. Mina wants to be with her boyfriend George, but he is making travel plans while she is preparing for her exams. And Tanutscha, who is half-Iranian, demands more freedom from her mother so that she can take part in her friends' free-spirited lives.
